b. Feb 19, 1995
Mallory joined our family as a 3 month old pup in May 1995. She was bred by Bea Sawka and Brigitte Nowak, and had been a long awaited addition for us. She grew up into a lovely adult, finishing her championship easily with a group placement from the classes along the way, and she would go on to other wins and group placings in limited showing as a special, including an Award of Merit at the 2000 Bearded Collie Club of Canada National Specialty under breeder-judge Suzanne Moorhouse. She was intended as a valuable addition to our breeding program, but unfortunately we were never able to get puppies from her. She remained simply a beautiful and much loved companion, and occasional show dog.
In 2006, at the age of 11 1/2, she was shown in the Veteran Sweepstakes at the BCCC National Specialty where she placed in her class, looking fit as ever. Sadly we lost her suddenly just two months later, to cancer. Her loss was, and still is, a shock, and she is very much missed.
